1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Wesphyr ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Wesphyr is a messaging platform where messages whisper briefly before vanishing. Users can:

• Send pre-defined template messages to contacts
• Receive messages that automatically expire
• Maintain a contact list with custom nicknames
• Communicate without traditional text messaging

3. Account Requirements

• Users must create an account with a password (minimum 6 characters)
• Each user receives a unique 6-digit code for identification
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your code and password
• You may not share your account credentials with others

4. Message Expiration

All messages sent through Wesphyr are ephemeral and automatically expire after 60 seconds. This is a core feature of the Service and cannot be disabled. Messages are permanently deleted from our servers after expiration.

5. Account Inactivity Policy

Accounts that remain inactive for 30 consecutive days will be automatically deleted. Inactivity is defined as no login activity. When an account is deleted:

• All associated data (contacts, messages, account information) will be permanently removed
• Your unique code may be reassigned to new users
• This action is irreversible and no data recovery is possible
• No notification will be sent before account deletion

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use Wesphyr to:

• Send harassing, abusive, or threatening messages
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the Service
• Spam or send unsolicited messages

7. Privacy & Data

• We collect minimal data: your code, password hash, display name (optional), and last active timestamp
• Messages are automatically deleted after 60 seconds
• We do not read, monitor, or store the content of your messages beyond their expiration time
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties

8. Service Availability

Wesphyr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That messages will always be delivered
• That the Service will be available at all times

9. Limitation of Liability

Wesphyr and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service
• Loss of data due to account inactivity deletion
• Messages that fail to deliver or expire prematurely
• Unauthorized access to your account due to lost credentials

10. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Remove any content that violates our policies

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
